We are aware of reports of scamming activities on our platform, and we want to assure you that your trust and experience are of utmost priorities to us. At PropertyGuru and iProperty Malaysia, property agents will have to go through a verification process before they can list on our platform.
We proactively reach out to the agents to confirm their details and perform details verification via LPPEH (The Board of Valuers, Appraisers, Estate Agents and Property Managers). We have also taken measures to enhance our platform by proactively removing illegitimate accounts e.g. duplicate accounts, accounts with expired information etc. We continue to verify our database with LPPEH to ensure authenticity and relevance of the accounts.
PropertyGuru and iProperty Malaysia are also reaching out to our consumers to educate and remind them on how they should engage with agents and assurance of legitimacy before making any commitments or transactions.
